Live Planning Applications Map — England

What does this map show?

This live map displays planning applications from 290+ UK councils, plotted by their geocoded address. By default, permitted applications are shown so you can see what has recently been approved near you. Use the status filters to toggle undecided, refused, and withdrawn applications on or off.

How do I use the map?

Zoom in to explore your local area. Click a cluster to expand it and see individual applications. Click any pin to open a detailed info card showing the address, reference number, status, and a link to the original council planning portal. Use the "Locate Me" button to jump to your current location.

How often is the data updated?

Planning application data is collected daily from each council's planning portal. New applications appear on the map within 24 hours of being published by the council. Applications added in the last 24 hours are highlighted with a pulsing animation so you can spot the latest activity at a glance.

Can I get alerts for my area?

Yes — click any application pin and use the "Save to Favourites" button to track it. For automatic email alerts when new applications are submitted near your home or business, sign up for free and add your postcode to your watchlist. You'll receive daily or weekly digest emails with new applications within your chosen radius.
